Paul Oakenfold’s influences on dance & electronic music span two decades and this collection showcases these bringing together Paul’s greatest hit productions and remixes for the first time, on one album.
Paul is widely credited as one of the originals responsible for importing the Balearic sound from Ibiza to the UK in the late 80’s leading to the global explosion of Acid House, Rave culture and dance & electronic music. The tracks on this album reflect all of the above including
Paul’s legendary remixes of stadium rockers U2 and Madonna, the rave / baggy scene remix of the Shamen and Happy Mondays production, the hip hop to trip hop vibes in Massive Attack, Arrested Development and Snoop retouches through to the 90’s club classic of Underworld, PPK, Planet Perfecto, Grace and Olive.
Paul has also spent months in the studio creating massive exclusive remixes of Radiohead, Everything But The Girl, Mark Ronson, Groove Zone (a classic from Paul’s DJ residency at UK superclub Cream) plus his own Southern Sun.
